WELCOME TO BBQ MAGAZINE ONLINE!

We are located on the Central Coast of California (Pismo Beach).  We are 15 miles to the north of world famous Santa Maria (Santa Maria Style BBQ).  We also boast the home of Tri Tip.  The purpose of our site is to bring together BBQ recipes from around the world and share them for free with everyone.  We usually BBQ 4 or 5 times a week and are experimenting with different woods and recipes.  Please create a free account and enter your favorite BBQ sauce, recipe, rub, side dish, or just whatever you think would be a helpful part of our site.  If you enter a recipe I promise I will try it and let you know how it turned out. Ingreients:

  • 4-6 lbs. Pork Ribs 
  • 1/4 Cup Paprika
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Firmly Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Celery Salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Dry Mustard
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Ground Cumin

Mop Sauce:

  • 1/4 Cup Prepared Mustard
  • 1 Cup Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp. Salt

Directions:

  • Combine Paprika, Black Pepper, Brown Sugar, Salt, Celery Salt, Cayenne Pepper, Dry Mustard, Garlic Powder and Cumin in a small bowl and mix well.
  • Rub 2/3 of the rub on the ribs
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.  The longer the better.
  • Mix mop sauce ingredients and set aside.
  • BBQ the ribs for about 1/2 hour and then mop with the mop sauce.
  • Continue to cook for anothe 1/2 hour mopping often.
