WELCOME TO BBQ MAGAZINE ONLINE!

We are located on the Central Coast of California (Pismo Beach).  We are 15 miles to the north of world famous Santa Maria (Santa Maria Style BBQ).  We also boast the home of Tri Tip.  The purpose of our site is to bring together BBQ recipes from around the world and share them for free with everyone.  We usually BBQ 4 or 5 times a week and are experimenting with different woods and recipes.  Please create a free account and enter your favorite BBQ sauce, recipe, rub, side dish, or just whatever you think would be a helpful part of our site.  If you enter a recipe I promise I will try it and let you know how it turned out. Ingredients:

  • Spice Rub ( 1/4 Cup Paprika,  1 Tbsp. Light Brown Sugar,  2 tsp. Cayenne,  2 tsp. Cinnamon,  2 tsp. DryMustard,  2 tsp. Garlic Powder,  2 tsp.  Onion Powder,  Salt and Pepper to Taste).
  • 1 Whole Chicken (3-5 lbs.).
  • 12 Oz can of good beer.
  • 1  Lime
  • Drip Pan or Aluminum Foil.

Directions:

  • Clean And Rinse Chicken (Pat Dry).
  • Generously rub the spice inside and out all over the chicken.
  • Drink 1/3 of the Beer.  OK Don't stop at 1/3 of a beer but all you need for this recipe is 2/3 of a can.
  • Add Lime Juice to remaining beer.
  • Carefully place the chicken over the beer can, adjusting the legs to balance the bird.
  • Place the beer can and chicken in a drip pan on medium heat on the grill.
  • Hickory or mesquite chips help with the flavor (Soak the chips in water and place in a seperate drip pan.
  • Close the lid of your BBQ and cook for about an hour.
  • Remove from grill and let stand for 5-10 Minutes.
