Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 Cup's of Merlot (Don't use cheap wine because the flavor will come out in the sauce).
  • 1 Tbsp. Corn Starch
  • The largest Squash you can find.
  • 2 Tbsp Water.

Directions:

  • Pour the Merlot in to a sauce pan and slowly heat it to almost boiling.
  • Mix the cornstarch with a little water or wine to form a thick paste.
  • As the Merlot begins to boil add the corn starch to thicken.
  • Let cool.
  • Slice the Squash to make steaks.  The larger steaks you can make the better it looks on the BBQ.
  • Grill the squash on each side for a few minutes brushing with the Merlot sauce.

It will come out incredible.  Trust me.  Especially since we live on the Central Coast of California which has some of the best wines in the world.

Enjoy.

If you try this please let us know what you thought. Thanks.
