WELCOME TO BBQ MAGAZINE ONLINE!

We are located on the Central Coast of California (Pismo Beach).  We are 15 miles to the north of world famous Santa Maria (Santa Maria Style BBQ).  We also boast the home of Tri Tip.  The purpose of our site is to bring together BBQ recipes from around the world and share them for free with everyone.  We usually BBQ 4 or 5 times a week and are experimenting with different woods and recipes.  Please create a free account and enter your favorite BBQ sauce, recipe, rub, side dish, or just whatever you think would be a helpful part of our site.  If you enter a recipe I promise I will try it and let you know how it turned out. And if you try any that are on here let us know what you thought.  Bon appetite!

Ingredients:

  1. 1-2 Dozen Rock Oysters (rinsed in cold water).
  2. 2 Cloves of Fresh diced Garlic (more or less to taste).
  3. 1 cube real butter.
  4. Parmesan cheese.
  5. Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce to taste (available in most oriental sections of any market).
  6. Green onion diced.
  7. Wine (optional).

Directions:

  1. Place oysters directly on grill at medium heat and BBQ for aprox. 10 minutes. You will hear them poopen when the are close to done.  If you are on a grill with a lid close it.
  2. Melt butter and finely diced garlic.  Add a little wine to this if you prefer.
  3. Once all oysters have popped open, use a knife to pry them the rest of the way open.
  4. Cut the muscle at the bottom of the shell to loosen the meat.
  5. Pour the butter and garlic mixture generously on each oyster.
  6. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over each oyster (1 or 2 pinches each).
  7. Recover and BBQ for 5 more minutes.
  8. Remove from BBQ and add diced green onion and hot chili sauce.

These are similar to one of my favorite Sushi bars oysters (Yamato's in Grover Beach California).  If you are ever in the Pismo Beach area I recommend trying the oysters there.  THEY ROCK!
